Birth Story Integration

Your birth story deserves to be heard.

Birth can hold joy, power, grief, relief, confusion, beauty, disappointment, awe, anger, gratitude, or many things at once.

You do not have to reduce what happened to a good birth or a bad birth.

Sometimes we simply need somewhere safe enough to tell the whole story.

Your story belongs to you.

After birth, attention moves quickly to the baby.

Mothers are often asked whether everyone is healthy and then expected to move forward. But what happened to you matters too.

Birth Story Integration offers a private space to slow down, tell your experience in your own words, notice what still feels alive in it, and be witnessed without being corrected, rushed, compared, or told how you should feel.

There is nothing you need to perform here.

You don't have to make your birth beautiful.

You don't have to make it traumatic.

You don't have to be grateful.

You don't have to be angry.

You only need permission to tell the truth of your own experience.

You might come if...

Your birth went differently than you expected.

Your birth was beautiful and you want somewhere to honor it.

There are pieces you still think about.

You have conflicting feelings about what happened.

You want to tell your story without someone trying to fix it.

You are preparing for another pregnancy or birth and your previous experience is coming with you.

Or you simply know that something in your story wants to be heard.

What happens during our time together?

I listen.

We slow the story down enough for you to notice what comes up as you tell it.

There may be moments where we pause, breathe, notice the body, explore something more deeply, or simply allow silence.

You remain in charge of what you share and where we go.

There is no correct outcome.

This is your story.

A gentle clarification

Birth Story Integration is a space for reflection, witnessing, and embodied integration. It is not psychotherapy, medical care, or a substitute for treatment from a licensed mental health professional.

If something arises that would be better supported clinically, I will honor that and encourage appropriate additional care.

Your story happened. It mattered. And so did you.

If something in your birth story is asking for space, you are welcome here.
